The Greater Des Moines Partnership, Careers Consortium and John Deere Financial were pleased to present a Mini Job Fair and Multicultural Reception that was held at John Deere Financial in Johnston. The Mini Job Fair was held from 4:30 - 6 p.m. followed by the reception 6 - 7:30 p.m. Don't miss the next opportunity to network with a diverse population of business professionals. The Greater Des Moines Partnership's Multicultural Receptions are very special hallmark events for the organization. Presented by the Partnership's Diversity Council, the receptions began in 2003 as a way to connect and network new Iowans to the community through a local, inclusive event.

The receptions offer a unique opportunity to connect with community leaders and organizations that have a Diversity focus, all with the hope that through an environment of connectivity and inclusion we can retain this very important workplace population in our community.

The Multicultural Receptions take place every quarter in the months of March, June, September, and November.  Each reception attracts approximately 200-300 attendees and is hosted by regional members.  In the month of September, the reception includes a formal recruitment element, in the form of a mini job fair.  This is a short, yet very effective way to recruit local talent from a broad and inclusive pool of candidates.
