

Diversity Award
The Greater Des Moines Partnership's Diversity Award is a distinct recognition honoring employers who have made significant achievements in championing diversity at their businesses and organizations. The award also showcases the efforts of these employers in the community and is presented at the Greater Des Moines Partnership's Annual Dinner.
Award Application Process
To qualify for the Diversity Award, organizations must be a regional member or investor of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. Completed applications must be submitted to the Partnership’s Diversity Council by Friday, October 21, 2011. After the applications have been evaluated, finalists will be selected and contacted to arrange an on-site visit. Winners will be announced during the Partnership’s Annual Dinner in January 2012.
Award Categories by size of organization
Awards may be given in the following categories: small (1-150 employees), medium (151-500 employees) and large (more than 500 employees) size companies. The determination regarding the categories to be awarded will be based upon the quality and number of applications received in each category. Previous award recipients are not eligible to apply for one year following receipt of the award.
Award Selection Council
Each year, a rotating pool of members of the Partnership's Diversity Council participates in a judges' panel to oversee the selection and presentation of the Greater Des Moines Partnership's Diversity Award. Applications are evaluated and finalists are visited by the panel before convening for a final vote decision to name the award winner(s).

2011 Diversity Award - The Principal Financial Group and Community CPA
2010 - Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Iowa, no award was given for the small-mid size company.
2009 - Wells Fargo & Company, Bankers Trust Company, and Employee and Family
2008 - Des Moines Area Community College and Kemin Industries
