The program also encourages and facilitates these young leaders’ on-going involvement in local communities and the state to create a better future for all Iowans. Approximately 30 students will be selected for this year’s program which includes a premier weeklong residential leadership and issues awareness program August 4-8, followed up by one-day sessions in September and February and an ongoing mentorship with a professional in the student’s field of interest.
