Recognizing that federal, state and local governments play a key role in the development of a positive business climate in Greater Des Moines, the Partnership's Public Policy Group strives to maintain working relationships with elected and civil service officials at all levels of government. Each fall, our non-partisan agenda is developed by our Government Policy Council (GPC), which is made up of volunteers from our member organizations.

DC DM UNITED 2008, the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s 29th annual lobbying trip to Washington, D.C., is slated for June 11-13. Almost 200 of Central Iowa’s business, civic and other community leaders will travel to our nation’s capital to promote a unified agenda promoting regional economic growth.
