The Greater Des Moines Partnership is once again leading a delegation of business, civic and community leaders from across Central Iowa on its 29th annual lobbying trip to Washington DC. Advocacy efforts will focus on establishing support for economic development projects and policies that enhance business competitiveness, nurture entrepreneurs, improve quality of life, help communities attract and retain employers and employees, and create new jobs.
DC DM UNITED 2008 is now 198 participants strong. As we approach the departure date of the trip, please continue to use this website as the resource for the most current version of the trip itinerary, travel alerts, etc.
Our host hotel this year is the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.
The DC DM UNITED 2008 Opening Reception will be held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 6-8pm. Click here to register online for the reception.
Affiliate Night is set to be held at one of DC's most elegant restaurants, Indebleu, on Thursday, June 12. The cost to attend is $99 per person. You must register in advance. Click here to register online.
