Recognizing that federal, state and local governments play a key role in the development of a positive business climate in Greater Des Moines, the Partnership's Public Policy Group strives to maintain working relationships with elected and civil service officials at all levels of government. Each fall, our non-partisan agenda is developed by our Government Policy Council (GPC), which is made up of volunteers from our member organizations.

Representatives of the regional chambers and affiliate organizations joined more than 160 of Central Iowa’s business, civic, and community leaders for the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s lobbying trip to Washington, D.C. The itinerary underscored a range of advocacy, educational, and networking opportunities for those who participated in the trip June 9-11.
