Small- and large-business winners are selected annually in various categories.

This award recognizes a successful business that nurtures the most employee-friendly environment. Such a businessdemonstrates creativity and flexibility in accommodating employee needs and is characterized by minimal turnover and long tenure among its staff.
Best Workplace for Young Professionals
This award recognizes a business that fosters an atmosphere for young professionals to work and growin. Such a business encourages community involvement,supports further education opportunities,helps cultivate young leaders and promotes a successful work/life balance.
Commuter Award
This award recognizes a business that innovatively develops implements and supports commuter transportation programs in the metro area. This business understands the importance of maintaining mobility and sustaining the quality of life in Greater Des Moines.
