Greater Des Moines to Host Politics & Pints Trivia Event from the Washington Post

Des Moines, Iowa, has been selected as the first traveling location for The Washington Post’s political trivia event “Politics & Pints” with managing editor and The Fix columnist, Chris Cillizza.  The event takes place on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Quinton’s in the historic East Village of downtown Des Moines, Iowa. 

 
This is the first time “Politics & Pints” is being taken out of the District. The popular Washington D.C. event welcomes over 200 guests and first began in December 2009. Over 20 teams answer political trivia questions to win prizes for top score and best team name. Political staffers, media and political junkies regularly attend.

The event will be held at Quinton’s, 506 E. Grand Avenue, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. There is no cost to attend. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to register to play as space may be limited.

Event patrons will also have the opportunity to tour the new C-SPAN Political Bus to be parked outside the venue from 6:30-8:00 p.m.  The bus tours will be provided in partnership with Mediacom. Click here to view a printable flyer.
