Happy 2008!

Good Morning and Welcome to 2008! Over the past year, your local Chambers of Commerce throughout Dallas, Polk, and Warren Counties came together to form a regional force. Together, we are more than 5,000 businesses strong, and ready to move into 2008 with one voice, one mission as one, united region. Over the course of the year, the Partnership and our Regional Affiliates will be working together closely to provide you with even more benefits to help grow your business and build our local workforce and economy.

To kick-start these efforts and help you make the most of your dual Chamber/Partnership membership, we are launching OneVoice Weekly. This online newsletter will arrive in your inbox every Friday morning to provide you with the coming week's events from the Partnership and around the region. In addition to OneVoice Weekly, new Regional members of the Partnership will also begin to receive the printed version One Voice, distributed in the Des Moines Business Record on the fourth Monday of each month. The printed version will continue to offer monthly highlights from around the region, including member spotlights, bragging rights and a full monthly calendar.

We know you'll find your dual membership and the additional resources it brings you a terrific value for your business.

Reservations for Partnership's 119th Annual Dinner Due Today!

The reservation deadline for the Partnership's 119th Annual Dinner on January 10 at Hy-Vee Hall is today. The Capitol Steps, a troupe of Congressional Staffers turned-comedians featuring the lighter side of politics will headline the program. The evening will also include the passing of the leadership gavel from the 2007 Partnership Chair Jim Cownie of JSC Properties, Inc. to the 2008 Chair, Steve Lacy of Meredith Corporation.

The Partnership's Annual Dinner includes a social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m., and the dinner and program beginning at 6:30 p.m. Center stage seating is $150 per person or $1,500 per table, and general seating is $125 per person or $1250 per table.
