On July 3 and 4, the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Young Professionals Connection (YPC) is joining with the Des Moines Music Coalition (DMCC) for the third year in promoting Greater Des Moines at the 80/35 Music Festival with the YPC Do More Village.
The Partnership has sponsored 80/35 since the inception of the event 2 years ago. YPC’s Do More Village serves as the hub for showcasing all things Des Moines. The area pulls in event attendees through its interactive exhibits and unique demonstrations, all provided by local groups and supported by local talent. Groups already scheduled to join YPC in the Do More Village this year include the Des Moines Social Club, Art Noir, Yellow Brick Magazine, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, and Team Gymnastics Academy among many others. If you would like to learn more about having a booth in the Do More Village, please visit YPC’s Web site at
www.ypcdsm.com and click on the “Do More Village at 80/35” link.
The YPC Do More Village is also in the process of scheduling volunteer shifts. This provides a great way to work with other YPC members and contribute to what is quickly becoming a nationally-recognized event for Greater Des Moines.
As Greater Des Moines’ multi-day music festival, 80/35 drew 30,000+ people from across the Midwest last year, many under the age of 40. This year, attendance is expected to break that mark. Visit
