Partnership Offices & Operation

The Partnership Building sustained damage from the fire at the Younkers Building. We have secured temporary office space on the seventh floor of Two Ruan Center, located at 6th and Locust, in downtown Des Moines. The Partnership Building will require repairs and cleaning after suffering water and smoke damage from the fire at the historic Younkers building next door. Staff will be working through Monday to get operations moving forward, with the goal of having the new space operational on Monday. All existing staff phone lines and e-mails will continue to function.

While the Younkers Building is a regrettable loss for our community, the momentum in downtown Des Moines will continue. This is certainly a temporary setback, but it will not stop progress or momentum on a wide range of significant development projects currently under construction and planned for the future. The fire is a tragedy, but Downtown Des Moines is strong, vibrant and growing. The Partnership and the entire region have a history of working through tough challenges, and this one will be no different.
